Position: Evaluation Specialist

ACET is an independent research corporation specializing in the evaluation of education, public
health, and community-based programs. Our staff have extensive experience in conducting high
quality research and evaluation in a variety of settings including multicultural/bilingual settings
throughout the state of Minnesota and nationally. We serve a wide range of clients to plan, implement,
and analyze and summarize both formative and summative evaluations. ACET staff frequently employ
a wide range of evaluative techniques to help clients collect data and-ultimately-improve their
programs, including: survey design and development; database development; logic model and
evaluation plan construction; focus group and interview script development; focus group facilitation
training; test score and survey analysis; review of extant data, including documents and databases

The Evaluation Specialist will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with demonstrated
experience performing evaluation or research studies and writing clear, concise reports for a variety of
audiences. Experience with relational databases in Excel and SPSS (or other statistical software) is
required.
A qualified candidate will have a master’s degree in the field of evaluation, health science research,
policy analysis, or related field. A degree of creativity, independence, and latitude is expected with this
position. Job duties for this position include:
ü Working in a team setting to plan an evaluation (e.g., logic model development, evaluation
planning, database mapping);
ü Conducting literature and document reviews;
ü Designing qualitative and quantitative measures (e.g., focus group questions, survey items,
interview questions, rubrics, site visit protocols);
ü Collecting data and co-facilitating meetings;
ü Compiling results, preparing reports, and documenting progress toward outcomes;
ü Working with clients to build evaluation capacity;
ü Sharing ideas on program evaluation methodologies and frameworks; and
ü Assisting with various aspects of business operations and other relevant duties as assigned.
