Have you always loved working with children? Does your heart melt at the thought of seeing a child meet a new, loving family?
Working in an adoption agency might be just the job for you! Based on the most recent available data from 2007 and 2008, approximately 2000 children are adopted each year in the state of Minnesota. There are over 130,000 adoptions in the United States annually (http://www.childwelfare.gov/pubs/adopted0708.pdf). An Adoption Case Manager works with the children and families from the beginning to the end of the process. This includes home visits, matching families to children, and providing adoption education.
An Adoption Case Manager can daily make a difference in the lives of children who no longer have families to nurture them. It gives the opportunity to cut through the red tape of bureaucracy to bring joy to the lives of the children and families you unite.
