Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the largest car rental company in North America.  We are a $17 billion company with more than 1.4 million vehicles in our rental and leasing fleet.  We have more than 74,000 employees and over 8,000 locations in 70 different countries including the U.S., Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.  Enterprise was founded by Jack Taylor and has been owned and operated by the Taylor family for over 50 years.

Describe your company culture. What do your employees enjoy about your organization? What are some challenges they face?

Enterprise is a stable, diversified, and decentralized company with a very energetic culture and an emphasis on strong customer service.  Our company culture is fun, competitive, team oriented, and fast paced.

When you are looking for new employees, what do you search for?

I am looking for someone who is professional and has good communication skills to effectively work with people in a face to face environment.  In addition, we look for someone who has a strong work ethic, adaptability, and big picture thinking.  Someone who is self-motivated, goal oriented, and driven to succeed.

What does a typical hiring process look like for your organization?

The first step to be considered is to fill out our online application at www.go.enterprise.com.  After that we have a 3 step interview process where you actually get to spend some time at one of our locations really learning about a day in the life of an Enterprise employee.  A successful career is a two way street so we ensure that you pick us just as much as we chose you!

 What tips do have for students and alumni who are looking to enter your industry?
