Fall Semester Internships at Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood’s interns play a hands-on role and gain first-hand knowledge in the organization’s important work supporting the human right to reproductive health and freedom. In addition to building valuable skills, our interns are encouraged to participate in a number of social, educational, and personal/professional development events and opportunities open to our volunteers and interns. Public Affairs Assistant Intern: Play an integral role in the organization’s grassroots advocacy efforts as the Public Affairs Intern. Support historic Obamacare Outreach Team organizing, gather and enter Action Network sign ups into multiple systems, manage efficiency and function of Voter Activation Network, support e-advocacy campaign and use of Convio email system, support Public Affairs Manager with projects as they arise, and support Outreach Team Coordinator with phonebanks, canvasses, events as needed or interested. A great position to learn inner workings of mission-driven nonprofit and its advocacy and engagement efforts. Ideal candidate will have some outreach or organizing experience, with a great attention to detail. 671 Vandalia Street in St. Paul.
Volunteer Program and Training Assistant Intern: The Volunteer Program and Training Assistant intern will carry out several tasks related to the recruitment, placement, orientation, training and ongoing retention of volunteers throughout the agency. Major duties will include corresponding with, screening, and helping to place prospective volunteers and interns, assisting with and updating curricula for volunteer orientations and trainings, helping to coordinate volunteer project and events, and other day-to-day volunteer management processes as needed. A great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteer management, human resources, community engagement, and training! 8-15 hours/week, the ideal candidate will have availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 671 Vandalia Street in St. Paul.

Volunteer Program and Marketing Assistant Intern: The Volunteer Program & Marketing Assistant Intern will carry out tasks related to the tracking and management of volunteers throughout the agency, and also assist staff in expanding the visibility of Planned Parenthood’s services throughout three states. Major duties will include ensuring volunteer data and personnel files are processed completely, conducting volunteer reference checks, posting recruitment listings to the web, conducting market research to support Partnership Development staff, consulting with advertising agencies, compiling information and statistics related to marketing campaigns, and helping with special projects as needed. Approximately 10 hours/week. 671 Vandalia Street in St. Paul.
