CEHD Moodle Template

Based on the course design principles outlined in The Check, the CEHD Moodle template is part of a strategy for applying best practices to improve the CEHD student experience. The template provides instructors with a solid foundation for building an effective online course as soon as they request a site.

For the 2017-2018 school year, as the University transitions learning management systems, this template has been optimized to help ease the process when you transition from Moodle to Canvas. You can use this template with a new course request or apply it to an existing course. See below for more information on how to use our Moodle template or write to for assistance.

To Get Started

When you request a new Moodle course site there is a text field that says “URL of Moodle course site to copy.” Paste the CEHD Moodle Template URL listed below into this field.

Please note that while it is possible to apply the template to an active course, it is a bit more complex and may be a good opportunity to work with a member of our team. We can help you design your course, align your goals and objectives to accomplish your students needs, as well as assist in integrating the technologies available to you. If you’d like help, let us know by filling out an Innovation Proposal Application.

If you’d like further help in learning Moodle on your own, you can also reference OIT’s Instructor Guides and’s training videos.
