DEI Video Services Examples

DEI provides a broad range of video/audio production services. We will consult with you to discuss your project and identify a solution to best meet your goals. We can record a class, guest lecture, or other special class event when a member of the DEI staff is available. Below are some examples. For more information or to make a request, visit our Video Services page.

Guest Lecture

DEI Video Services can record a class, guest lecture, or other special class event when available. These recordings are modest in production values but usually have high quality audio and video sufficient for lecture capture for a class. If instructors are seeking higher quality or more complicated production, we partner with UMN OIT.

In September of 2014, one of our senior faculty members in Educational Psychology submitted a request to create videos modeled after the popular Ted Talks video series. As they would be specifically addressing Special Education research and licensure curriculum, they elected to call these “SPED Talks”. These videos are being used for a variety of purposes; the primary use is for an introductory Special Education overview course in the Department of Educational Psychology.

In the fall of 2015, DEI was asked to help create and manage online content for a course in Kinesiology for Professor Don Dengel. A large part of this request included producing a series of instructional lab videos for students to consume outside of class before coming to their labs. DEI Video Services worked in conjunction with Professor Dengel and his teaching staff to create this series of lab videos.
