How do I have a threaded discussion where students respond with a variety of media?

VoiceThread allows instructors and students to have visual discussions around a shared piece of media, like presentations, images, and audio files.

Once the shared media is uploaded, the discussion can take many forms using one of five commenting options: microphone, webcam, text, phone, and audio-file upload. There is also a tool for annotating images with drawings or text as you record your comment.

VoiceThread is integrated into the U of M’s Moodle as an external tool. Click “U of M VoiceThread” below for more information.
