The host of a Google Hangout will need to have a University of Minnesota Google account. External guests can join without a Google account using the meeting URL. Chat with up to 9 other people. Features include desktop sharing (great for demos or presentations) and recording. Requires the Google Talk plug-in be installed. An app is available for both Android and Apple mobile devices.
