Digital Storytelling

“Digital Storytelling in Teaching & Learning: The Changing Story as a Field Guide” is a one-day professional development workshop that introduces CEHD instructors and staff to digital storytelling as a teaching and learning strategy. The workshop uses the eBook, The Changing Story (http://z.umn.edu/TheChangingStory) as it’s guiding text, teaching participants how to conceptualize, design, scaffold, implement, and assess digital story assignments in their curriculum.

In the spirit of participatory learning and applied experience, “Digital Storytelling in Teaching & Learning” introduces participants to various types of digital stories while guiding them through scaffolding exercises from The Changing Story to help understand the positive impact they can have in helping students put together their own digital story assignments.  Workshop time allows participants to work with experts in the field as they work on their own digital story assignments.
